whitewater adventures for over 30 years.
The company was founded in 1985 by Scott Faskan and was purchased by our family in the Fall of 2007. We are all accomplished rafting experts and river enthusiasts, and are realizing our dream of sharing our passion for white water river vacations with the world. We are each avid outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen and have been running whitewater for many years. Collectively, our river resume includes most of the Idaho rivers, the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, the Gauley in West Virginia, the Rogue, the San Juan, Desolation Canyon on the Green, and many others.
Idaho Afloat offers multi-day whitewater vacations and fishing on two of Idaho’s rivers
The Snake River through Hells Canyon and the Lower Salmon River offer unique whitewater experiences in Idaho. Each is beautiful and unique. No matter which river you choose you can be sure that you will be eating a gourmet menu while you are relaxing and enjoying our entertaining and knowledgeable guides. What a great trip, great people, good food, and whitewater...it doesn't get any better than this. My trip with you folks through Hells Canyon was outstanding. I highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking a good time and a river adventure. Thank you once again for everything.
Just wanted to give a big Thank you to you guys! This was my husband & I's first rafting trip together and it was amazing! So much fun and so many memories made. You guys have a great staff and were awesome the whole time. Can't wait to do it again!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, IDAHO AFLOAT!!! I had a blast (pun intended)! Great chucker shoot and they made great snacks with dinner drinks. Once in a lifetime experience! Good friends, fantastic food, great scenery. Slept like a baby. Caught plenty of fish. Just a little wet on the bottomside. Even the drives to and from the salmon were enjoyable. This is a 'must do' for everyone. Thanks again.
Dear Ty and Kate, This letter is to thank you so much for the recent trip you outfitted down the Main Salmon. 80 miles in 5 days. You provided three rafts and all the equipment our party needed. The food was excellent and the beverages to our complete satisfaction. The scenery was some of the best I have ever seen and I have visited every state in the USA. I formally worked (1995-2002) at the Phillip Morris Ranch and in that capacity used numerous outfitters for white water rafting and boating. I had about seven years of that activity and feel that your operation is far superior to anything I experienced in the Yellowstone Park - Livingston area. I wish your operation continued success.
I want to say thank you for a great trip that myself and my friend Damon had back at the end of July through Hells Canyon. The trip was amazing. Damon and I have both done a lot of self-guided rivers in Idaho in the past 6 years or so and I think John and Emmet spoiled us. With John guiding us to all the fish and Emmett having a perfect camp and great food waiting when we stopped, I'm not sure we can go back to self-guided trips. I will recommend Idaho Afloat to anyone thinking of running a river. Thank you.
Where's Emmet with my beer? Why hasn't Jesse made up my tent? Do I really have to cook?...It's not easy being back home. We had the most incredible time on the river. Thank you and the crew so much. If you ever find yourselves in Sacramento - please look us up. We'll make sure you get to do the American River. Our Best.
