Founded in 1985, Idaho Afloat has been offering whitewater adventures for over 20 years. The company was founded in 1985 by Scott Faskan and was purchased by our family in the Fall of 2007. We are all accomplished rafting experts and river enthusiasts, and are realizing our dream of sharing our passion for white water river vacations with the world. We are each avid outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen and have been running whitewater for many years. Collectively, our river resume includes most of the Idaho rivers, the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, the Gauley in West Virginia, the Rogue, the San Juan, Desolation Canyon on the Green, and many others. Idaho Afloat offers multi-day whitewater vacations and fishing vacations on four of Idaho’s rivers and two of Montana's. The Snake River through Hells Canyon, the Main Salmon River, also known as the River of No Return, and the Lower Salmon River all offer unique whitewater experiences in Idaho. Each is beautiful and unique. We also offer fishing vacations on the mellow Clearwater River. In Montana, experience exhilarating whitewater through the Alberton Gorge or a beautiful, scenic float with splash and giggle rapids on the Blackfoot River. No matter which river you choose you can be sure that you will be eating a gourmet menu while you are relaxing and enjoying our entertaining and knowledgeable guides. We have exciting plans for the upcoming season and years to come. We are introducing Cast & Blast rafting trips where you can enjoy fishing Idaho’s plentiful rivers or hunting Chukar in otherwise hard-to-reach areas. For the more adventurous, we will be offering raft support trips for canoes and kayaks. If you are looking to enjoy some time away from the kids without dealing with other peoples kids try our adult only trip. Our Family Adventures are popular with kids from ages 5 on up.Idaho Afloat offers something for everyone.
